Celebrating Gerry Oldham’s Remarkable Achievement at 10 Downing Street!

We’re thrilled to share the exciting news of Gerry Oldham’s recent visit to 10 Downing Street! Gerry, a dedicated and esteemed member of the Pure Offices maintenance team, has made significant contributions beyond his daily responsibilities, and we couldn’t be prouder of his achievements.

Gerry’s visit to Number 10 was in recognition of his outstanding service to the football community. His efforts have helped raise over £1 million for new facilities at Cheltenham Saracens FC , including a state-of-the-art clubhouse and bar. Not only will these facilities attract top-tier players, but they will also benefit the wider community. Alex Chalk, MP for Cheltenham, has been a strong supporter of the project from the beginning, expressing his delight at Gerry’s success.

With a remarkable career spanning over 50 years in the football world, Gerry has left an indelible mark. From coaching to scouting at Aston Villa Academy, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of aspiring young footballers, igniting his passion for the sport even further.

At Downing Street, Gerry was warmly welcomed by Lucy Frazer, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport, alongside other esteemed contributors. They gathered to recognise and celebrate their collective efforts within local communities.

Reflecting on the experience, Gerry shared his humility saying:

“To be invited to Downing street was a very proud day for me and my family, I was made to feel very welcome with a glass of champagne and there were some lovely words said about me, it was a great experience and one I will cherish for a long time. To be recognised for the work I have done in any industry is the ultimate honour”.

A huge congratulations to Gerry from all of us at Pure Offices. For more details on this ongoing project, visit Gloucestershire Live.
