High-flying security company impresses Croydon Council BID

Primeprox Security Services are at the very heart of Croydon’s business community, and not just physically. Since they started in January 2009 Primeprox have thoroughly established themselves as the only security company in the Croydon BID area.
Director Torsten Mulczynski and GM Simon Hampton moved their up-and-coming security business into serviced offices at Davis House in April 2009. ‘Davis House was ideal,’ says Simon. ‘It’s the smartest business centre in Croydon, and it’s right in the town centre. It’s also really convenient if you’re coming from the station.’
Primeprox’s strategy was simple and effective. ‘We decided to spend the first year gaining as many accreditations as we could,’ explains Simon. Clearly Primeprox don’t do anything by half measures - within a year they were in the top 25% of SIA ACS (Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor Scheme) companies in England and Wales, and have achieved accreditations for ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO 14001 (a ‘green’ environmental certificate).
But they haven’t stopped there. Having previously won Croydon Council’s Envibe bronze and silver awards for Environmental Business Excellence, Primeprox is now going for gold. To help them achieve this they will be donating funds to a local green initiative.
The highly-accredited firm is in the centre of Croydon’s Business Improvement District (BID), which has led to a strong relationship with the local council, who have used Primeprox more than once. Simon remembers, ‘The police and council officers we met said they’d never had such a detailed briefing, and they started using us straight away.’ There’s no doubt the council was impressed by Primeprox’s accreditations and awards, which are above and beyond what’s normally required. Primeprox has provided security for the council’s BID on a number of occasions, not least for the mayor and the impressive Christmas lights switch-on. The company will be providing the security for the this year’s switch-on too.
Initially the security company only hired guards from the Croydon area, but rapid growth has meant that they’ve now cast the net wider, and are recruiting from all around the M25. With such high qualifications and excellent experience behind them, expect to see Primeprox grow and grow.
