Back pain is a thing of the past at Pure Offices Portishead

Harbourside Chiropractic Centre provides chiropractic care of the highest standard. Lisa and her partner Charlotte started the Portishead practice in 2008, and moved into Pure Offices Kestrel Court straight away.
The duo had both been trained chiropractors for eight years, working in other practices in the area. Two years ago they decided to go it alone and establish their own practice. Lisa remembers choosing the Portishead serviced offices; ‘We really liked the flexibility of Pure's units - we were able to turn our office space into three treatment rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a reception area. The location is fantastic, being a main route in and out of Portishead, and the parking is essential for us - we have lots of patients who are in pain so they wouldn’t want to walk miles from the car to the practice.’
Harbourside’s chiropractors are all highly trained - having completed four-year specialist degrees they continue to learn about the latest treatments and techniques through Continuing Professional Development.
The successful Portishead practice is extremely thorough. Initial consultations are almost an hour long, and include a comprehensive case history discussion and a physical assessment. Lisa explains how the entire business is patient-centred; ‘Our primary goal is to provide the best possible treatment and to make sure our patients are happy - we get most of our referrals through existing patients. In this business word-of-mouth is crucial,’ she says.
Harbourside Chiropractic Centre has a long list of satisfied customers. One patient suffered from severe daily headaches and was unable to concentrate at work or sleep before he decided to get chiropractic treatment. ‘I was taking fourteen to sixteen ibuprofen a day to try and help ease my neck pain and headaches. I don’t have any of those problems now, thanks to my chiropractic manipulation,’ says Mr B.
Harbourside is looking to consolidate and build on its successes, and Lisa says they will be looking to take on another associate in the not-too-distant future.
