Pure Offices, the developer and operator of serviced office centres, will achieve a “B” energy performance rating for its second centre, which opens at Tachbrook Park, Leamington Spa in October.

The energy rating reflects the energy efficiency of the building itself, as well as its heating, ventilation, cooling and lighting systems. One of the building’s main energy saving benefits is its sustainable heating system, which uses an air source heat pump to extract the heat from the air around the building and convert it into energy to drive the development’s heating system. The Tardis like heat pump is pictured here.

In addition, the building has been fitted with solar control glass to reflect the sun’s heat, perforated blinds for shading and wide-opening windows, to create a pleasant working environment, without the use of air conditioning.

Nick Smith, managing director of Pure Offices says: “Our aim is to develop buildings which are sustainable, but also very affordable for companies. Our commitment to renewable technology and the latest thinking in glazing, insulation and mechanical services is enabling us to build centres which provide reduced carbon emissions, while being economical to operate and comfortable to work in.”

The new Pure Office centre at Tachbrook Park will provide nearly seventy office suites, available to let singly or in combinations, on monthly easy-in, easy-out terms. The offices are suitable for larger companies downsizing or looking for flexibility as well as smaller or new business’s seeking their first offices or expansion space.
